PDF to Word — Convert Online
Convert a PDF into an editable Word document (DOCX). Server-side — text is extracted from the PDF.
A PDF to Word converter turns a PDF file into an editable DOCX document that opens in Microsoft Word, LibreOffice Writer, Google Docs, and any other word processor. It's the tool to reach for when all you have is a PDF, but you need to edit, extend, or copy pieces of the text — no more retyping whole pages by hand.
To convert a PDF to Word, upload your file above (drag and drop it or click to choose one from disk), wait a moment for processing, and download the finished DOCX. Everything happens on our server, so you don't need Word installed locally, and the source file is deleted immediately after conversion.
Conversion works by extracting the text layer from the PDF, so plain text documents — contracts, articles, reports, essays — come through best. Complex layouts with multi-column designs, tables, and lots of images may look simpler in Word than in the original; that's a quirk of the PDF format, which stores appearance rather than document structure. Scanned PDFs without a text layer can't be converted into editable text — those need OCR tools instead. Maximum file size is 25 MB. Need to go the other way? Try Word to PDF.
