Cooking Calculator
Convert cups and spoons to grams for a specific ingredient, recalculate oven temperature and recipe servings.
The cooking calculator solves three common kitchen problems. **Converting measures to grams by ingredient** is the main one: a regular volume converter won't work here, because a cup of flour and a cup of sugar weigh different amounts. Pick an ingredient (flour, sugar, salt, butter, honey, rice, and more), enter an amount in cups, spoons, milliliters, grams, or ounces, and the other measures recalculate based on that specific ingredient's density.
For example, a 250 ml cup holds roughly 150 g of flour, 200 g of sugar, or 250 g of water. Both the standard 250 ml cup and the 200 ml "faceted" cup are supported, along with tablespoons and teaspoons.
**Oven temperature** — convert between °C, °F, and gas mark, since recipes from other countries often list the latter. **Servings** — enter how many servings a recipe makes and how many you actually need, and the calculator rescales every ingredient amount. Everything is calculated right in your browser. Density values are approximate — they depend on how finely an ingredient is ground, its moisture, and how tightly it's packed.
