A character and word counter analyzes your text as you type: character count (with and without spaces), words, lines, paragraphs, and an estimated reading time. Paste or type your text, and every number updates instantly.

This is useful anywhere there's a limit or a length requirement: social media and messaging posts with character caps, SEO metadata (titles up to ~60 characters, descriptions up to ~160), classified ads, essays with a minimum word count, and subtitles. The reading time estimate helps you gauge how long an article will feel to a reader.

Everything runs right in your browser, and your text is never sent anywhere. It's handy to keep this tab open and check your length as you write.
