Cryptocurrency prices change constantly, and to know what Bitcoin or Ethereum is worth right now in a familiar currency, you need a tool with live data, not a figure from yesterday's news.
Where the rates come from
The crypto calculator pulls rates from the public CoinGecko API — a price aggregator that pulls from major exchanges — and updates them in real time. These are averaged market prices, close to exchange rates but not tied to any single trading platform: for an actual trade, it's best to confirm the rate directly on the exchange where you're making it.
How conversion between coins works
Enter an amount into any field, and the other 20 supported coins (Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT, BNB, Solana, XRP, Cardano, Dogecoin, and others) recalculate instantly. The calculation uses your chosen fiat currency as a reference point: each coin's price in that currency comes straight from the API, and converting between two coins is simply the ratio of their prices. That way the cross-rate between any two coins comes out accurate, even if that specific coin-to-coin pair isn't traded directly on an exchange.
Which currency to choose
By default, the fiat currency is picked based on your country, but you can change it manually — options include the US dollar, euro, British pound, Chinese yuan, Japanese yen, Swiss franc, Kazakhstani tenge, Ukrainian hryvnia, Turkish lira, and Russian ruble.
If data is temporarily unavailable
If current rates can't be loaded, the calculator shows approximate values and explicitly warns you about it — don't rely on those figures for an actual trade. The refresh button requests fresh data manually.
Bottom line
An online crypto calculator removes the need to hunt down an exchange rate manually and recalculate it yourself — an amount in any of 20 coins and 10 fiat currencies converts instantly at current market prices.
